Session 5 - Preachers, Pals, and Platitudes

Saying Something Stupid versus Just Staying Quiet confronts the elephant in the room—that moment when the non-grieving cross paths with the grieving. A dopey saying, a trite attempt at compassion, or an inappropriate comment can trigger a relapse into tears, depression, isolation, rage, or all the above. This session gives specific advice on what to say and what not to say. Part 2 of The Unique Grief of Suicide concludes this session.
